BTS-Mobile communication (An Introduction)
Today I'll tell you some details about BTS (Base Transceiver Station) . Basically a beginner level introduction.The box like see near/under the mobile communication towers are called BTS.BTS is an non intelligent device which reside close to the user's end.Most of always mobile equipment communicate with the BTS.Basic functionality of BTS is allocating channels to the user.
Basically and simply here is what happens : Antennas are connected to BTS .So antenna get the traffic and signalling from the user equipment and send to the BTS ,the BTS do necessary works and send it to the BSC/MSC * through a microwave link (in E1 or Ethernet Level) .So and vice versa when coming from the MSC/BSC side.
